Preparation of Quilt Top and Backing |

Please square your quilt top and back. |
||||||||||
|
||||||||||||
|
Do not baste your quilt. | |||||||||||
|
||||||||||||

Identify the head of the quilt top either with a safety pin or a piece of tape. | ||||||||||
|
||||||||||||
|
All quilt backings should be a minimum of 4 inches wider and 5 inches longer than the quilt top. | |||||||||||

||||||||||||
|
||||||||||||
|
No buttons, charms, pins, etc. on the quilt top. | |||||||||||
|
||||||||||||

||||||||||||
|
Check quilt top for seam breaks. | |||||||||||
|
||||||||||||
|
Loose threads on the quilt top and backing should be clipped. On lighter fabrics all loose threads should be clipped as they may show through. | |||||||||||

||||||||||||
|
||||||||||||
|
Backing and top should be pressed. Please press all seams open. There is a charge if I have to press them. | |||||||||||

|
No bed sheets for backing please. Many wonderful fabrics come in wide widths and can be used for backing. | |||||||||||

||||||||||||
|
